Are all 80 series rear mudflaps the same (excluding the LX)? I thought that they were not, the difference being that the 91-92 would be a little more narrow than the 93-97. Is that true? Cruiserparts.net has the rear flaps for sale, and they have them as applicable to all years, 91-97. Is this correct?

There is a difference in how they fit for flares 91-92 same and the flap is shorter in length and the Land Cruiser on the flap is painted white. 93-97 has a longer mud flap and the flare sticks out a little farther where the mudflap mounts to the flare.
With out flairs I don't think there is a difference other than length.

Off their site:

Mud flap Front 91-97 No flares or running boards. L or R $35
91-92 Flares, no running boards L or R $35
93-97 With flares, no running boards. L or R $50

I think what you just quoted from Cruiserparts is for the front flaps. Though what you wrote first applies to the rear, and I believe that to be true as well. But Cruiserparts has only one flare listed for the rear, and showing it for all years. Link below:

What am I missing?

And I think, from the part number given, that it's really for 93-97 models, if in fact they all use the same flap. I'm questioning that as well, though I tend to believe they do use the same. I suppose the break would be 93-94 using one and 95-97 using another, if they are different.

I know 93-97 are the same I asked Onur this and I would be able to copy his answer with part number for you if you asked like a week ago. I put a set with white letters on my 96

Doh... any chance you've got that part number laying around somewhere? I assume you have flares, and I'm going to guess the last five are 60150 (I think 60170 was for non-flare vehicles), first five being 76607/76608 for right/left, respectively.

Actually, a little more research tells me that 60150 is for 93-95 80's, while 60170 was for 96-97's. But I think they are essentially the same... maybe the difference is that 60150 has the white lettering where Land Cruiser is spelled out while 60170 is black lettering?

Like I said non-flare are the same IIRC.

It's the flare mud flaps that are different from 91-92 to 93-97.

I hope that answers your question.

I'm not convinced... it's curved at the top side where it would meet a flare. I think the non-flares don't have any depth or area on the sides because they don't transition down from the flare. I agree with you that all the non-flares are the same 91-97; I just don't think that's it. Somewhere in the 80-section there is a post by Onur or Dan stating that the non-flare flap is 60120. I think the non-flare flap is essentially flat--that one isn't. Based on the part number, 76607/8-60170, I think that's for a flared 93-97 LC. Maybe I need to call Onur or Dan.

Thanks for posting the pics. I can see the difference in the flaps for the flared 80's now. Appreciate the help.
