This may be weird, but I started this a while ago, and would like to continue the tradition. Stupid? maybe...

I have a die-cast model of every vehicle I've owned, except the 200-series! If anyone sees one, please let me know. I believe they are all about 1:18 scale (about 8"-12" long). Mine is classic silver, but any color will do as I can get the touchup paints and do it myself :)

Please keep an eye out for me! Thanks guys!

I've seen a tiny one for sale in Japan (2"-ish) by Tomica for cheap, as well as a bigger one, maybe 6"-8" for $$.

Let me know if you can't get one closer to you.

I haven't found one yet, but I'm sure that over the next few years one might become available.

Do you live in Japan? How much was the 6-8" model? Just curious, how much is shipping for something like that to the states?

Thanks!

The only bigger ones I've seen are the ones that you get when you purchase the vehicle... I think I heard that they did that with the FJC. Did they not do that with the 200?

Shipping cost is dependent on the weight.

If the package weighs 1lbs, then shipping would be $7(slow air: 3-4 weeks), $11(regular air: 2-3 weeks), or $17(express air: 1 week, insured, trackable).

I've seen a few of them in the course of the past few months, but the only one I've found just now is gold-ish in color.

It's pretty detailed, even with the front corner/fender mirror and stuff. But the steering wheel is on the wrong side though. :hillbilly:

I'll keep my eye open and will let you know whenI come across a siliver one.

I think they usually go some where between $50-$100 (Haven't really tracked the price so I'm just "guesstimating") though.

I have a contact at a Toyota dealer, but his dealership does not carry the LC models.

Cute!!! lol...

Yeah, they drive on the wrong side and they have those weird mirrors on the hood which I've never understood.

But thanks for the update!

Does ARB make a bumper for this?

Molding clay and black spray paint...get creative :D

Also, don't forget to leave a 15mm gap between the clay and the model for authenticity sake :flipoff2:

Now that was FUNNY!

I will take a grey/silver when they come out! :bounce2:

Does it have lockers?

Yes, if you mean that it comes with a screw that "locks" it to the base. Or you could put some superglue between the tire and axle. My personal preference though is to leave the axles open :grinpimp:

Update...

... sorta. :hillbilly:

OK, I'm seeing a few more of them available.

I guess they're 1/30 scale, if that puts its size in perspective.

People who have them are asking between $55-$85-ish, plus s/h, etc... So you gotta wanna get pretty bad(ly)!

Hope I've talked you out of it. ;)

I guess I'll go with the superglue lockers then. :)

The tiny 200s look better than the life size ones ;)

LOL once again your jealously shows through.... :grinpimp:
I got one ;)

Admittedly, it's nowhere as good as yours. Atleast mine has the original doors MUAHAHA!
