did toyota make a 96 FJ80 without 3rd row?

Did Toyota manufacture any 1996 FJ80's without a third row seat? Considering buying one, and would pick up the (cloth, 3rd row) seat somewhere, sometime.
However, if this one doesn't have the brackets to hold a seat, then I'm not as interested in the truck.

For those that have taken the third row completely out, what happens to your seat belt? From the look of pictures online, the seat belt is a separate part and attaches to the side wall of the truck behind the seat. Is is possible to remove the seat belts completely?
 
Yes, they did. Very rare in this market.

The outer seat belts can be completely removed from the vehicle.
 
You could look at adding land rover style side bench seats to the rear. You can fit 4 people in with a little more room, and access is much easier from the back, rather then the rear passenger doors.

Has someone done this? I think this would be a great looking alternative and be very FJ40-esque.

X2. Seems like a great idea. A neighbor of mine has an LR3 with those in the back and they just collect dust in his garage. Maybe he would be willing to part with them.
 
My 97 is like this. No thirds and no sliding window. Manual front seats and k294 :)
 
The cool thing about the non-third rows is the back had a cool privacy screen you could pull across to keep wandering eyes from checking out your dead bodies, err..I mean tools and other valuables in the back of your cruiser.

Well, for me, not having the third row of seats is sorta a deal killer. I was hoping to use that when hauling around friends with kids, and a place for the dog to ride comfortably.

Oh wow, a white near stripper model. No rack, no spoiler, no 3rd row, non-premium stereo, and cloth interior. This is a neato edition for sure.
