The other side is not as bad I'll post some up after I'm done with that one tomorrow.

The donor for the bottom was a ford Flairside pickup the piece right above the wheel arch is a perfect curve for the bottom. I pieced together the wheel arch I made a template of the other side and just welded, cut, fit, until it all worked.

Great! Man, you need to fully document this. You will be a hero to a lot of folks with cruisers suffering from ERS (early rust syndrome).

I'm no "Matt the Landcruiser sheet metal wizard"!! But I learned a long time ago but don't use it to much. The first side was more work but I had to make the panel for the second side, body hammer, 6in steel pipe (to bend the curve) flat piece of channel for the bends, I'll make the rocker for the drivers side today.

just curious whats the thickness on the sheet metal... will be doing the same soon...

cheers adam...

great work... nice and clean...

Well I started to cut out the rocker today and it went much farther and was worse than I thought so I am rethinking what I am going to do.

I dug thru a pile of steel cut offs a found a piece of 2x3 box with a 1/8 in wall it fits right into the rocker area nice and snug, since this is not a resto and the box will add protection I think that I am going this way. So 12 ft. of box should do both sides.

the steel that I was using for the quarters was 18 ga. what I was going to use for the rocker was 14 ga. for the back and 18 ga. for the front but that may not happen now
