Yea,give him a call or shoot him an e-mail, one man operation. used the pic he had on file. very nice honest guy, he has no idea landcruisers have such a following and is not trying to mislead anyone. he will send you actual pics of that vehicle and point out any flaw not seen in pics.

Russell,

When you hear about those $4k 80s, this is usually what they look like.

Hey thanks a lot guys. I feel much better about my purchase. I love the car so I guess that is what matters. BTW DougM I live up in Mukilteo which is about 30 minutes north of Seattle. Thanks for the warm welcome guys and looking forward to future discussions. I attached the only picture I had which was from the dealer...

PACNW96,

If you are happy, then you paid what its worth. I would pay that based on the miles and the pics you posted.

Yes you paid too much. Now go ask for 1/2 of it back.

Feel better? :flipoff2:

Ask about the price ahead of time but not after. If you really like the truck and thought it was a good deal then well, it probably is to you.

Relax, he is just curious.

Now your gonna tell Junk to relax......

Do you really just want the whole can opened up...... :flipoff2:

Ask you can see we are really nice here, Junk leads the way in our welcoming of new members. As far as paying to much, you are not alone. I paid $7k for my 94 no lockers w/160k miles on it and sometimes I think I paid to much, oh well. The money you've spend will seem small compared to the money you'll spend on mods.

ok deal...

Hey PACNW96 -

I paid about the same for my '96 w/62k miles, no lockers.

Mine's a non-smoker, very clean engine and underneath, lot's of dog hair under the seats...

My guess is that it was a DTV (Doggie Transport Vehicle) that the owner traded in for whatever reason.

Like Mr Slee said, I figured with such low miles, and lack of leaks, how much wear/tear can the engine/drivetrain/axles have on them?

You ride looks sweet...ya done good!

:)

1. I paid 20K for a 97 with 63K miles, 1 owner, in VERY nice/good condition. Did I pay too much? Probably , but I don't care. I got exactely what I was looking for. So it was worth it to me.

2. I'm in Seattle and would like to meet other 80 series owners.

One other thing, PACNW. I'm curious, is the PAC the same as PA-C?

Feeling good about the purchase and I expected I would get some negative comments on the thread... no worries...and I have learned from reading these forums there are certain phrases that provoke verbal bashings like:

"Check out my new brush guard!"
"Hey I put back on the OEM running boards!"

I will avoid those...

A little mid week humor...

Thanks again for all the feedback.

Russell

Eh! I put my running boards back on after fixing them - for a short time... :D

Please disregard this comment. It comes from a gentleman who wheels in his yard........ :flipoff2:

Russell, and EDPA for that matter,
My better half and I just put an offer on a house in millcreek, will see what happens but if you see a really ugly grey 92 with peeling paint on the hood and an ugly ole roof rack at least wave. or pm me and We can get lovetoski and tomh and some of the other guys in seattle together for some brew.....
Dave
packing up all my chit......

Best of luck on the house offer. Mill creek is a great area to live. I agree we should get all the seattle folk together...anytime for me, but after April 20th my schedule will get a little tighter as my wife and I are expecting our first baby!
