Hi all,

I picked up a 71... it was in restoration and is almost done, but it has no rollbar. I've looked at the top and how its connected. It looks like it was NEVER removed. I could be very wrong though and wont know till the top is off.

I have a rollbar that was salvaged from another 71 that is gone now. Its in the blasting cabinet right now.

Can you post pictures of your rollbar and the year? I just want to make sure this rollbar is correct for this year. I've seen them straight in the back and also angled in. This one is angled in.

Cheers

The blue 40 is I think a 1971. That is the rollbar I have.

The white 40 is a 1973. No longer have.

9/1973 and earlier didnt have factory rollbars. not even an option, although lots of aftermarket ones made their way into early cruisers. the one in the blue cruiser sorta looks like a factory one, but not sure why the rear bars are splayed out like that???

I have the same roll bar as the blue one, splayed out like that and everything. I thought it was an aftermarket thing or homebuilt, glad to know it isn't.

My '71 never had a rollbar....no mounts or anything and I took the top off for the first time in it's life a couple months ago. It was nice to see how shiny the original color was.

74 was when they first started putting in factory bars. the dealer bars were not installed in all cruisers.
