Hi All -

I got a new key cut today and drove for the first time with it. I think it might have caused the starter to stay engaged very slightly. There was no noise before I started using the new key. In the video I think there is smoke coming from the starter. Am I crazy to think that could cause it? If so, what could the noise be?

Is the key still in the start posision?
I don’t remember fully, it was not making the noise like if you’re holding it cranking too long. I plan to check in the morning and see how much the stock key comes back when released vs. the new key. If the new key comes back less when released, maybe that proves my hypothesis? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
