So i got caught working in the driveway, and even though i tried to duck into the garage and hide, i got talked into doing some time on this little rocky.

i mean i can always use some jack for the Blurunner.

anyway this is a pretty, well i thought, pretty simple job. i need a better time estimator because i suck ass at it.

basically i did a 2" BL (thanks Gabe for the tip) got the stuff through Grainger. after some kind of miscommunication i got the UHMW TWO weeks later:fxxxing retarded:

i mounted the Trail Tough front bumper he brought me and fabbed a Snale Racing rear bumper.

so onto some pics
first is sans BL
second is with the BL mocked in place
third is the sticks after the BL install.

so the TT bumper came with a couple mounts to use. they were for a sidekick or something though. so after some though i came up with this stuff.

drilled a couple more holes, added a weld nut for the new bolt.

next i added this tubing for a bit more strength.
the tube hides the weld nuts that i added. i notched on end of the tube to fit over the one nut so it would sit down right.

so the lower mounts were pretty gravy, however, the rocky leaves nothing to mount the actual bumper tube to for support.
so back to the thinker. i decided to make a couple of struts that pass through the core support and weld to the frame.

jacked up the trans and case with a small block to fix the stick interference issues.

also shows the BL and how much i cranked the front torsions (8 turns) about 3/4"

Awesome work. Looks pretty complicated, but final analyze, looks great. However, how does it run? Does it run as well as it looks?
