Great trail with plenty of challenges and a well rounded group. I had a great time ran the trail, short trip to Crown King for cocktail hour, camped off Bloody Basin Rd. near the Pueblo La Plata ruins, visited several old cabin site on the way home, witnessed road rage with a shot gun, and put 24.5 gal
in the 80.
Saw a lot of cool wheeling and terrain but no camera.

What happened??
Just finish airing up coming out of the Seven Springs area getting ready to pull out. Waited as a truck with a FJ close behind went by at a good pace. Jump on the road and around the corner they are both pulled over at a slight angle with the FJ now in front. As I approach I see the barrel of a shotgun sticking 2+ feet out of the trucks drivers window. As I pass I hear the guy in the FJ saying "you think that shotgun scares me". The road drop down and I turn around to get a view from a distance.
When the vehicles come into sight I see the truck spin the tires in reverse and turn up an unpaved road. I pull up and the FJ starts yelling do you have cell service and did you see the guy brandish the weapon at me and my 7 year old son . I say no service here but up the road at the next turn off you will get service. Then I offer up what I heard as I passed and that I saw the barrel of the gun. Asked for my name and number and I hurried to get him the info and left just in case the truck returned.
I have not heard from him, the police or seen anything on the news about a guy shot in a FJ cruiser.
