Denver to Detroit road trip ideas

Hey guys,

I'm flying to Denver in July to pick up my 100 thats being built out and I'm seeing if anyone had any suggestions for trails/camping/hiking on our way from Denver back to Detroit? Our dates are going to be 7/3-78

We were thinking of going north from denver to Devils tower, east through Black Hills.

Any suggestions would be great!

It gets pretty monotonous inside of an hour going east out of Denver on I-80. Depends on the time of year really. Nebraska and Iowa get a bad rap but can be quite beautiful greened up. For sure tho, the I-90 roll is pretty cool. Black hills is cool, badlands is cool, Missouri river valley is cool. To make it top shelf, add a day or two and go north to the U.P. and cross 28, up 123 at Newberry and on to Paradise to The Inn for the best food for 500 miles, then across the Mighty Mac, hang a right and do the Tunnel of Trees, Leggs Inn, and home from there, unless you have time for the M-22 trek.
