Denso primer pump swap

I'm trying to get my old plastic primer pump off as it isn't quite priming like it should be, I was told it was a simple screw off, screw on deal. But so far I can't figure out how to move it.

Any idea guys?

I figure my primer needs replacment if it leaks deal around the inside when it is priming and I have to prime it alot to get air out of the system, I figured it out today with the new fuel filter

the inner seal rots on those old primer pumps - the first one i had would blow diesel back up at me every time i pumped it. It does screw off, just add some pen fluid and let it sit over night.

ya thats what I figured, good call on the pentrating oil, should I just grab the outside of it with vise grips?
