Hey guys

Discovered the AC leak in my 2003 LX is the condenser and not the compressor. Parts on back order (no biggie...AC works, just has to be topped off periodically) and hoping someone can confirm that Denso 477-0603 includes the receiver drier and I do not have to also order Denso 478-1500 (receiver / drier)

I'm very familiar with working on AC, just want to make sure I'm getting in line for all the parts I will need.

fwiw: I used a Fieldpiece SRL2 refrigerant leak detector. Put the cruiser in the garage closed up and hood raised overnight. Next morning the detector worked perfect. If you use refrigerant detectors, I've generally found the key to success is you have to keep airflow (wind/fans/moving large things look hoods) as still as possible.

Thanks!

Yes includes drier installed.

It also includes all new mounting hardware. I just installed it on mine a couple of months ago.

I discovered a leak in my condenser also, would that denso part number be correct for a 2002 as well?

Edit: Looks like it according to this website

I would check Denso's website as well. My memory is that the cruisers with rear A/C have a bigger condenser. My 03 does (2001 or maybe 2003 I think rear A/C was standard)

"National backorder"...great. Any tricks to repairing pinhole leaks in aluminum?

You could try epoxy. Occasionally that works in stationary refrigeration as a temporary fix. You can’t have any oil of any kind on the surface to be successful
