Ok folks, I originally installed OME medium kit. Shocks/Springs. I then proceeded to add the following:

- Dissent Front Bumper
- ARB Drawers
- BIO Rear Bumpers - Double swing out/tire carrier and ladder
- Gamiviti full rack

Well, this adds weight. The rear is sagging but the ride is better. I actually like the ride quality better with the weight. I already ordered the heavy springs from Slee, but I'm tempted to just lower the front. Any thoughts on this?

I just posted in another thread with the same questions. I got no response yet, I hope you do.

How much does the rack weigh?

Wow,

I almost bought 2 turnkey 100's with mediums and armor. People swear that the mediums are the ticket...I had my doubts based on armor weight. Matter of fact, the publisher of 4xoutdoor has all sorts of weight going and runs medium and is happy.

Problem is, the heavies are reported not so fun w/o full load.

I will follow this to guide my setup in the future.

Ride quality is key. Height can be corrected with spacers. If you think you'd prefer a stiffer ride or plan on adding more weight to the rear, then try out the heavies.

I think you have to think about how the rear end is going to ride when you're FULLY loaded, as in adventure/overland ready.

This past summer we did a cross-country trip to HIH and while my OME mediums did a great job, they sagged noticeably from the weight. Maybe we just pack way more gear than usual but I would not want to see my mediums with bumpers/racks AND all of our gear. It's amazing how much weight is added once you add coolers/fridges and all other expedition gear.

I recently built a pretty rough drawer system to hold all of my tools/misc. items and along with our regular camping gear it is perfect weight for the springs. A bumper would certainly put me into the heavy load range.

I'm interested to know what you decide/how it works out.

I got 2 kids and when we go up to the mountains the back is 100% packed. I think the mediums couldn't handle that. It's not hard to swap out springs so I'll vie the hard ones a try.

Beautiful rig, r71.

This is me before the kids and wife were inside, so call that another 500lbs. Rode excellent, and I didn't notice any lack of handling.
But now with the front and rear bumper (400lbs), and us inside I'm thinking I'll get the same squat as you and the handling will be compromised.

Okay, I'm now really confused. I just installed the OME hard springs. It didn't do jack to the rear height. It's still sags. Now, if the hard springs doesn't bring the height back up, is it just to anticipate additional load? Does anyone have Rear bumper and drawers with hard springs? What springs are you using?

Maybe the springs are shorter?

Yup might have the 1.5" heavy springs and not 2.5 s

Sof2rh in slee catalog. 2866 are 1.5 heavy

Yeah, they sent me the 2866. I ordered from Rocky Road this one time because I could never get thru to Slee. They're sending me the right one.

Whatcha doing with the mediums?

Just to be clear, the ones that are for sale is OME-860. It's what came with the 2.5 Medium Kit.
