Have members here had any luck buying LC200's in the US without some of the features/options?

Been a long time since I bought a "new" car. There used to be a day when you could delete some items or options

Specifically I'm not interested in the wood wheel, chrome body molding, tinted windows. Does anyone know what Toy would say if I requested 2013/14 without these things? I know what the normal Fast-Eddy car salesman is going to tell me. I'm wondering if there's a special order form. Maybe one dealership or store mgr is more cooperative with these types of orders. Specifically I've noticed a few no-tint US LC200's so they "are" out there but can they be ordered? I also know the all leather steering wheel exhists in other markets and so do side bodies without the chrome molding. So my "custom" request isn't that custom but it's been sometime since I was in the new car buying process.

Nope. If you find one then it will be fully loaded.....may be able to find one without rear dvd but otherwise no delete options.

If you work with a dealer and place a firm order for a particular vehicle that is still on the boat, you might be able to avoid the installation of some of the "Port Installed Options."

The problem is, these options are things like floor mats and cargo nets.

The 2013's come fully loaded - it's all or nothing, I'm afraid.

So then the question becomes ... how much is a leather steering wheel? Beno?

I've got the wood wheel in an LX right now. Hate it.

A quick search at Camelback Toyota shows the wheel at $542 (I searched using a 2009 model). Oddly, it's the same price for the wood or just all-leather one. I assume the airbag is the same for both wheels.

The wood wheel is nearly $2k for a 100 if my memory serves me right. Think it's hard to imagine they added a heating element and the price fell 300%.

I agree you're probably right but I have seen several Sonora gold 200s for sale with no tinted windows. Window tint isn't an option so... It goes against the normal thought that "you find them only loaded", no?

Excellent knowledge.

Still would like to see the steering wheel in all leather.

you think the land cruiser is wood??? when I test drove one it really felt like plastic to me. I was really put off by the plastic stuff so I went over to lexus. Have not made the plunge yet waiting for my color choice to pop up here.

Well LC wood has always been bad. Got a buddy with wood in the 100 series LC. It's terrible. The LX wood in the 100 isn't bad actually, although pieces don't match from the different trim areas.

I looked up the 200 steering wheel for LX. There's a $2,100 version (with wood, heated, etc) and there's an $900 version (leather only no heating). I might just recover the wood with leather if I take the plunge.
