Deer Valley Trail open?

Hi, I've been hearing mixed stories and can't find a definite answer online, dies anyone know if this trail in CA is open? Its up by the 88/89 hwy's. Unfortunately, I don't know the correct website to look on, and help would be greatly appreciated!

Tough to get a straight answer on that one...

My understanding is that it is open from the HWY 4 side to the creek crossing (Deer Valley proper). I think it's closed from the north side (?). They're supposed to be working on it this summer. It seems like plenty of people are running it anyway which may not bode well for the future.

That's what I hear too. My understanding is that you can go in from the south, but only for a bit before you have to turn around due to closure. Not sure if that means a locked gate or...

The Hwy 4 part of the trail is in the Stanislaus NF so none of this applies and that part is open. The boundary is probably the line between the two forest jurisdictions and not one of the creeks.
