One last word about "Spike"....she was an insanely cool person to deal with. I'm very lucky to have found my FJ40 at a price I could afford.

I paid waaaay too much for my first cruiser, even back then. I paid $5000 in the 1980's - I got robbed.

My second one, probably the best one I ever owned I got for a song and my 3rd a traded a beat down old and busted mountain bike for (1st generation fat chance with Suntour XC Pro and a 1st gen Rockshock - very nice bike when it was new). 12 years later, I think the guy still has the bike and has put a lot of money into it. I sold the 40 to a friend and his totaled it :(

I once got a FJ40 for free from Donny Figliozzi. Someone else gave it to him. It was a decent truck.

Another I traded a home gym and treadmill for.

Yet another I traded some welding work for.

It's always cool to snag a great deal but even the firstg truck I paid too much for I had a blast driving around in.

My first on was a '79 with a perfect drivetrain and interior..and the body was really solid except for the rear quarters and sill. I paid $5500 in 1996....not too bad. Sold it when we had a child.

Bought a '85 FJ60 for $8,000!!!! Got robbed. Sold it when we moved back to Virginny from Colorado.

My current '71 I got for $950.

I couldn't tell you which one I like better...

I paid too much more mine a couple years ago. $7,250. Even though I didn't know then what I do now, even at the time I was pretty sure I was paying too much. Whatever. Now I own a 40! :D

Right ON!

I sold a 1996 Ibis Mojo to get mine.....that was a tough decision.

An Ibis is a bike, correct?

My 60 is the first cruiser for me and also the 1st 60 I ever drove. I too definately paid to much for mine as well, $7000. We live and learn. It'll be worth $7K again after its all built up!

Hey Drew...yep, an Ibis is a bike. The Mojo is a classic mountain bike and mine was pristine.
