Yeah sorry Al,

I was going to grace you all with my presence but the baby boy got sick just after T-day and I was guilted into not leaving my wife/sick baby all alone all weekend.

See you in the spring.

Meeting and leaving from from Apex in the morning.

It will be good to see everybody and hit some trails.

great time had by all fellas...thanks for letting us combine our Wintery Mix from Swamp Fox group with yours event.

and I got to say that was a HELL OF A FEED BAG that was put on last night......I went into three Food Induced Comas last night. :) We thank you all.... :)

Thank You to Everyone!

Thanks to everyone. I can say that I had an absolute blast riding with you guys. All the different rigs and set ups had me drooling all day Saturday.

Everyone was very cool and exceptionally nice to me. Even more so than some of the Jeep events I have been to. I would love to ride along with all of you again, and wish I had a chance to camp out to enjoy the whole experience.

I spent most of my drive back to SC thinking of a way to talk my wife into a FJCruiser as her next rig..... I mean car.

*** To whoever was filming me on the steep hill climb on Rocky Mount (I think just before Kodak Rock?) I'd love to get a link or even a few pics of me riding the trails. I don’t seem to get much when I go out, except for a few poser pics.

I did get a few questions on what I have on my JK, so I cut and pasted some specs from another forum below:

2007 Sahara Unlimited - Steel Blue - Automatic - 4.10 Gears
35/12.5/17 Cooper STT, Stock 17" Moab, 1-1/2" Spidertrax Spacers, Teraflex Shocks, 3" Full Traction Ultimate, JKS Front & Rear Trackbars, JKS Quick Disconnects, JKS Steering Stabilizer Relocation Bracket, Shrockworks Mid-Width w/ Warn 9.5ti, Teraflex Rock Sliders, Riddler F&R Differential Covers, Superchips Flashpaq, Teraflex Rear Brake Line Extension Brackets, Spare - Daystar Tailgate Bumpstops & RR Wheel Spacer

Pictures

What a great weekend. I hardly know where to begin. First of I want to thank Kenny, Lydia and Chelsea for hosting us. I cannot explain what a great venue "the barn" is for a gathering. Amazing place with some great company. The food was incredible as well. Big thanks to Adam for coming so far with so much. Oysters, shrimp and enough deer meat to keep even me happy. So many people played a big part this weekend to pull of this great trip. So nice catching up with some old faces and getting to know some newer ones a bit better.

Link to pics but will post up a few favs

Sunday ride. While at the outpost we picked up a sick 4runner and a super clean 62. Hopefully they'll stop in and say hi.

What he said. Seriously, I don't think I could say it any better than he did.

Below are a few pics/collages. FYI - For those that weren't there, the red FJ40 shown below is not mine. This is Rafael in his '79 FJ40 he picked up recently making its debut at URE.
