So I unplugged my o2 sensor to see how the cruiser would react, 4lo kept flashing and the engine light came on but it didn't go into limp mode and drove like normal. Plugged them back in and removed the rear cats as the front seem to be a pita to get to and might do them later on. Driving seemed to be the same but when I put it into manual mode it would lose power at higher rpms. I stuck it in 3rd and put my foot down on the highway and took really long for the revs to pick up so I kept it pegged and at redline it just sat there and wouldn't hit the rev limiter... No codes thrown, pulls great in drive just the loss of power in manual mode has me stumped.

The most noticeable loss of power is at or above 4/4.5 k rpm.

Does anyone have any idea what this may be? Intake problems, injectors, spark plugs, should I check the fuel fliter?

*Update: toyota scanners showed no fault codes, spark plugs and fuel filters were replaced 45,000 kms ago, throttle body + air filter are all clean.

In the next couple of days I'll try to pull out the fuel filter and pump and inspect those.
