Here is what was dicussed for the most part. Clubs really were not given a chance to speak. Not like we were supposed to anyway.

This is what Chris / Snappy on NC4X4 recorded.

Had a great meeting..
We had 25 people from 6 clubs show up.

Ranger Debra Walker gave an update on rocky mtn loop. They are still doing the arch research. She has proposed a one way up and down to kodak rock area. Looks like rml will never open back up to complete the loop.

The new trail(lakeview) is on hold. They are working on a trail strategy for the whole system, taking in to consideration to the trail being self sustaining, eco correct etc etc. 1-1.5 year eta on moving forward.

Rtp funding was explained more. Basicaly it comes from gas tax. We get credit for man hours on work days for these funds.
Ruff est was $250,000 last year
$100,000 in trail passes
Proposed trail passes for horses in limbo because of a broke process.

She also covered the adopt a trail process and handed out forms to those who needed them.

Clubs asked questions and i felt got the most straight forward answers in a long time.

I requested a dui check on the trail next season and most agreed it was a good idea!!!

What i requested of the clubs is to give me/post up a list of items and projects for there trails to keep on a master list so we can help get it all done. Gps cords and pics would rock!

I also reminded everyone that brunswick stew at the jan workday...

It was brought up about ATV / Bikes but we know how far that went. We all agreed about them being the issue, but no real way of doing anything beside take pictures and report to the USFS to either Officer Foote / Janet over at the Campsite. But you are going to spend hours trying to get something maybe done.

I've tried to make it out to as many as I could while bringing some other friends along. Once the next semester starts, I will try to get more of the UNCC4x4 guys out as well.

Did the subject of raising trail passes come up.... I'd gladly pay $10 a day and $50 a year for access... that could get more money right there. If it helped keep the trails open I doubt anyone would be against it.
