I found droppings on carpet and dashboard in morning and immediately called Orkin man, he offered advice to close all windows and keep heater on for 15-20 min. It's hot and humid in Florida right now so this method seemed to worked. So there seems to be a dead smell but not sure where it's coming from. Anyone had similar case? Where should I start looking? What are likely places I will find the dead body? I use my cruiser multiple times a day so this is just really annoying. I have another car parked behind it and nothing happened.

Look under the seats or behind the dash probably behind the glovebox where all the wires are not sure why but mice seem to enjoy gnawing on wiring looms

The heater/ac blower

My dash started vibrating Friday with the air on high. Pulled the fan out yesterday morning.

Only sure fire way to keep rodents away is cats. Our big tom cat went missing and this is what happened. Got 3 kittens on the hunt now.

I feel for you man. I had several mice / rat chewed up a bunch of sound deadening material on my other car. And destroy the wiring on my tricker charger. It was annoying as ****.

So this is one of my daily drivers so it is not even parked in the drive way for a day without using. Luckily seems like there's no wires chewed up. Mech did find the tail behind the glove compartment at the blower. But no body has been found. He says the smell gets stronger near the center console bottom and under the seat but nothing is visible. I don't know what else to do. Is it worth the money to spend to take everything apart and not finding it? Part of me feel like selling the car but I really don't want to. I'm really lost and this is so annoying!!!

I'd be pulling a few things apart. Seats are pretty easy to pull.

Otherwise wait about 10 days.

Is there a way for them to get into the headliner? That's where they were in my Prius. Insurance covered it.

@Mauser I feel your pain. I also live in NM, but my rats added cactus and even some bobcat scat to the mix! It's a real pain to clean up. The only good news is that the dead critters mummify in a few days and stop stinking. Prolly won't help our friend in FL though.
