I can't go wheeling but will meet up for breakfast.

Chris

Im interested. Whatre the trails like that you are planning on hitting? Not too sure about the breakfast but wouldnt mind meeting up to tag along on the rest of the trip.

They are fire roads. Dirt roads with rocks, washboard sections and the occasional drainage ditch. They are usually wide enough that pin striping of paint is not an issue.

My oldest son and I will be there for the trail ride. Breakfast is up in the air for us though

Trails are pretty mild; there are a couple of water holes.

And there are a couple of small rock ledges. Stock Troopers and Rodeos made it no problem.

It looks like fun. I'm out of town that weekend, but otherwise would join. Looks like a mild way to get my new (to me) 80 to stretch it's legs and find a new trail.

Planning on making a family trip out of it. There are 7 of us though, so breakfast is doubtful

This is the perfect trip for people who are new to off-roading, you do not need a modified truck or any experiance just come out and have fun. Learn what your cruiser can do and meet some fellow cruiserheads.

I think i am in. I am new to wheeling in area, and relatively new to the cruiser too. I do not have sliders on my 100 yet. Are these trails suitable for a lwb without sliders? I really don't want any rocker damage, but this looks pretty mild and fun. Not to mention i would like to get involved with capitol cruisers and get to know some of you guys. I think i am going to be at IPOR this weekend looking at some slider options, so maybe i will see you then.

Count me in! Is anyone else coming from DC or meeting for breakfast in the area?

Last month we met for breakfast at Dumfries road and I-95 (Cracker Barrell). I'm up for it if we do again.

I am in NW DC. Google maps has me taking 66 out of town, so i think Dumfires is out for me. Where are you starting your trip, and how do you go if you dont mind me asking. PM me if you want.

I don't know any of you guys, but I have met Felix. I'd love to get the kids out and meet some new people. I'm planning on joining in and will be coming from Alexandria; not sure about breakfast at this point. I hope none of you guys mind if my Jeep buddy tags along. We're planning on making a trip up to Rausch Creek in late March, but haven't done anything but talk about it yet.

Duh! I thought this was in response to the FEB Tech Day thread--I apologize.

The breakfast for the trail ride day will be at Mom's Country Kitchen, in Front Royal (see first post with details)--I'm not aware of anyone in the D.C. area whose coming to the trail ride but planning an alternate breakfast.

Most will be traveling west on 66, and meeting for breakfast at the Country Kitchen in Front Royal. Others coming from Richmond/Fredericksburg and points south will probably not come to Front Royal for breakfast.

From RF, we'll go west on 66, then south on 81. Exit south of Harrisonburg and go west thru Dayton, Va to the Ottobine Country Store. Planning to meet there 11:30 to 12:00 timeframe.

The trail-head is a mile or two northwest of OCS.

I'll be coming out of Richmond so I will be heading out 64 to 81. Or I may take 33 all the way to Harrisonburg much prettier ride that way

8236 Ottobine Road
Dayton, VA 22821-3016

Is the address of the meeting spot?
