I'm packed and loaded, headed there straight from work. I'll set up camp on the lakeside then. anyone else camping in the rain tonight?? :)

I sure would like to bring my stock springs and unload them to anyone who will take them - the wife would like to see them out of the garage. Gary of Nebraska would like them, but someone would need to take them to him - unless he is coming down. Eric, Chris, any takers? I'll stick them in the back last thing tomorrow if you can take em.CV

the rain today has allowed time for me to start assembling the gear for the trip...jakes cruiser has an electrical issue that i must remedy asap...no headlights....found the problem...mr size 12 apparently kicked the wiring loose at the fuse block causing some other wires to come loose and short....we are loading the 40 tonight...heading to the grocery store in the am and hope to be outta here no later than noon...thats the plan anyway...look forward to see all

IBCRUSN's hauling the parts and FN stickers. Look for the lift green 80. He's got some cash for a T-case from the Old Crows. Randy & Erik if y'all give Mike & Peggy money for those parts I'll be (almost) square with them for the t-case.

Y'all have fun and be safe!

Mike

mike,
sure wish you were gonna make it...hell if ya get time drive up cruiserless and ride with jake...he would love to have a knowledgable copilot!

Mike,

Thanks for the plug. Yes, I have the goodies and some dough for the Xfer. As Mike mentioned I have a typical green 80 that has bed liner along the lower half of the body. Just look for the IH8MUD and GCLC stickers on the back. As an addition note if I'm not with the truck I share a slight likeness to Mike only not as strapping (might help keep me from getting tickets in Goddard) or as imposing.

Ok, I do have a couple questions to get in between the banter of who's bringing the beef.

1. Where is everyone meeting on Saturday AM?
2. What time at said location?

Since I only know Mike from TAC and he won't be there I'll be flying blind until I have faces with names. Thanks.

Go to the Fancy Creek Campground - follow the road to the top of the hill. Turn left at the tee, then take the next right. That will keep you heading east towards the lake. We will be down by the lake - given there are around 30 expected, we should be pretty easy to find. Probably the only ones there. We will probably be there until at least 9 AM. If you are arriving later in the morning head over to the ORV (you'll see signs for it) and I'm sure someone will be up at the staging area. Just look for a group of misfits driving Toyota's.

I'll be in a black lifted LX.

you can always find jakes 40...bright yellow with black trim....can be seen from a verrrrry looooong distance...we will have a yellow tent to match the 40...and a red nissan frontier...the pit crew drives it...looking forward to meeting you...like you said..always nice to put faces with the mud names...hope it stops raining soon...well i do anyway jake likes the mud.

Ditto. We were up there for Kansas Krawl, it had rained the night before and was miserable for most of the day. I vowed not to go back if it rains the day prior to going. It makes it very un-fun.

I will bring the directions. Thanks.

Guys,

Sorry, I know some of you will miss this cause you already left.

I hate to screw people around on propane and ice cream but I cant go now.

They got a "special" project in at work that requires special protection and now I have to work, not only a little overtime but both my days off!!!!!!

I hope to make it sometime soon but it wont be this weekend. I need a job with nights and weekends off!!

The rain is AWFUL here in Wichita and is supposed to be headed that way so it could be a NASTY, SLOPPY weekend for everyone.

Post pics of the trip.

Arron, I didn't forgot ya, both of us are newb's with TAC. Mike is correct. Don, WTF did you say??? sorry for the run on Fire Fox is having major issues with the function of the board.

Well, I made it home alive, I did stop to sleep for about an hour and a half at a rest stop.

Thanks to everyone who showed me around and let me tag along. I like Tuttle alot, the mud was awful though. I need to buy some TSL's for Tuttle and keep my MTR's for everywhere else.

I enjoyed meeting everyone and hope to wheel with all of you guys again real soon. Just when its drier.

Kris, hope you and your wife made it home o.k. too.

Hopefully someone will post up pics.

Fatboy,

We made it home in one piece as well. I was going to call you and see how you were making out but I kind of figured you'd stop. You looked whooped something awful after dinner, 30 hours will do that to anyone.

It was great meeting everyone, we had a great time. Mike & Peggy, you guys make an awesome chili. Craig, the cobbler was great I'll have to give it go one of these days.

Chris, make that phone call Monday. Pitbull's are pretty worthless if you can't air them down lower than 12psi. The other option is to try and find a company that can hook you up with a set of beadlocks.

The park was a lot better than Kansas Krawl as far as the mud. I think some TSX's are in order if we continue to go there.

Mike, I know you didn't make it but I have an aluminum and steel present for you. Get with Eric to be sure he coughed up the dough to Mike.

Someone has got to post the shot of Two Old Crows (Mike) driving up on the rock in the staging area, that was awesome. Just think what some 36's or 37's would be like.
