Date of Manufacture: Indicated on Vehicle?

Hi Guys. This is not my first time here but I have lost all my ID info so I'm starting again. This is a very informative site - well you know that - and I've visited frequently. Now I have a question. As you know, most vehicles must be fifteen years old for admission to Canada. I want to import a late 90's troopy, or pickup (or both). Is the date of manufacture on a sticker somewhere on the vehicle like it is on my Rav4?

If its coming from Australia it will have the date of manufacture stamped on an aluminium plate on the firewall. Its the law

Is the date of manufacture stamped on the JDM's?

The vehicles in question are Asian, not JDM or Australian. I believe they do not bear a 17 digit VIN such as that shown on the aluminum plate in post #3.

Put your vin in the toyodiy.com vehicle / parts search and you should get the date of manufacture
