Hello guys,
I'm trying to remove my radio on my 1991 FJ80, and a lot of threads have been opened about this topic here, but I'm stuck with a newbie question: Do I really have to remove the steering wheel to remove the radio ?
Here's my current progress on the following pics.
- I got the screws out to remove the dash,
- I started to unplug connectors
But it seems the whole dash doesn't want to come off because of its shape. It's actually stuck behind the trunk where the lights and whippers knobs are.
I am supposed to pull on the dash plastic or should I remove the steering wheel to get room for it to get off ?
I don't know, it looks like the way to go but on the other hand everyone describe it as easy and I feel like I'm dismantling the whole driver panel just to access the radio. It does not feels right.
Cheers !
