Dash lights went out

ok just joined the forum. I have several issues with my fj80 1994. Last night I was driving and my dash lights went out. I stopped and turned the car off and they came back on. Drove for a little while and they went out again. Does anyone know why or has this happened to anyone other than me.

Welcome to the forum, sounds like the relay dropping out. Tail lights are on the same relay.
Might also be the switch but since it went out without being touched i'd try the relay first.

I checked all fuses and they are good. Yes tail running lights are out too but brake lights work. Where is the relay. Thanks for the help. I've been fixing some issue with my cruiser thanks to this site. But when it comes to electronics I'm bum fuzzeled

Mine is in the drives side kick panel but i'm RHD.
At a guess I would say yours is in drives side as well on the left but can't be sure.

Since the relay is still working I would expect it to look ok at first.
Check for any signs of burning or heat buildup on the pins and internal contacts.

In the upper right hand corner is a white box that says Search... in it.
Type
dash lights out
and you will see several recent posts.
It's a common problem apparently.
Let us know what you find!

Thanks for yalls help. Relay switched fixed it. It was located in my drivers side kick panel. So far so good.
