Dash Camera/ Front Camera

I was thinking of getting a dash camera. Would would be nice is if I could use the front camera as my dash cam


Has anyone figured this one out ?

Not to hijack your thread, as I'm interested in expanding the potential of the stock camera system myself, but I'm also wondering if anyone has any experience installing a Flir IR night vision car camera -- it seems to be the aftermarket version of the OEM one found on BMWs...
