I'm starting a new project that won't be what you would call stock. I don't know if it's going to be HardCore, but we'll see.

Any way... Has any one any info/suggestions re Dana 70's I have a lead on front and rear for $400.

At that price, atleast around here, your getting a steal. I found a 60/70 combo for 100$ but they both need rebuilt.

My $$$ is on a closed knuckle front. These are prolly late 60's to early 70's axles from a Dodge, IH, or Jxxp Kaiser. *Small axle tubes, shafts, u-joints or tracta joints, complete front outer rebuild kits obsolete last I checked. Tierod is low & behind the axle. Knuckle studs are small & closely spaced together. I have the Spicer manual on those & was considering them for a swap but after talking w/ a few seasoned wheelers w/ firsthand experience, I changed my mind. Now, if I'm totally wrong & you have a set w/ an open knuckle front, you got a screamin' deal. Here's a pic of one I have w/ the open knuckle design - 35 spline all the way out :smokin:
