This is not my LC, and I have no association with it. I am a long time lurker and have done my best to learn from you guys what to look for when shopping for a LC of my own. For this, I am greatly appreciative of all the knowledge available on this forum. I have seen the following LX on craigslist for what seems like months, but I have not physically gone to look at it. I believe it fits into what I am looking for (price, miles, color, etc.), but being it has been listed so long and not sold, I assume I am overlooking something. As stated previously, I am still learning, and definitely do not want to purchase a pile of someone else's problems. I plan to daily drive the LC I eventually purchase and slowly build over time. I cannot afford continuous downtime for repairs. Please let me know what you see the issues to be with this LX, and any other information you can provide on finally biting the bullet after so much time lurking, looking, and learning. Thanks!

Just a quick look - missing the engine cover (not necessarily a bad thing but may be a sign of neglect). Most dealers offer a CarFax, I don't see one on the listing or website. With Lexus, you can search the VIN on Lexus's service website. Check for regular maintenance there, if performed at Lexus dealerships.

I would want to see undercarriage pics - you can't assume it's been in TX its whole life and it's rust free.
Also check the AHC system and that it has the minimal number of graduations (7 is end of life)
Last timing belt/water pump - should have been recently performed

The low price and for sale for a while tells me there's something wrong with it, but that's just my uneducated opinion

Tell the dealer that you'd like to have Toyota do a used vehicle inspection. They say no, you'll know something is wrong with it
