So I have an almost brand new cyber power rack mountable 1U UPS. I am curious to know if it can be converted so that it can charge via DC instead of AC. With the idea being I could mount it under the drawer in my Land Cruiser, or on the side of it. Then, I could power it from second battery. Does anyone know if that is a possibility?

well, if it's an AC charging device, converting to DC charging may take some serious work if you mean changing the electronics inside.
OTOH, using an external inverter would do all it takes very easily and at low cost.

Good point! I hadn’t considered that. Inverter to keep the UPS going and run AC items off of UPS. Brilliant.
