Hi there. I'm in the middle of a CV reboot project, and I lost orientation of the tulip on the inboard CV joint. I'm not sure which way it goes back. I have two pics, which is correct? This is unfortunately the 2nd axle, and I didn't even notice the orientation on the first one, it could be in there either way. Do you think that warrants me taking the first axle back out of the truck and confirming/changing to correct orientation? Out of curiosity, what happens if it is in there backwards?

Thanks!

Hope this helps.

It’s the second one (narrow side toward middle).

BTW, pretty unlikely you messed up the first one. The joint would fall apart pretty quickly if assembled backwards.

Thank you guys, very helpful! @Bisho, I think I'm going to have to pull and inspect, I'm just a bit too paranoid I got it wrong.
