There actually are a few guys in the club not running an 80!

Does anyone have a CV Clamp Tool tool I can borrow - my inner CV seems to be seeping a bit.
After searching a bit I think I want the Ear style vs the crimp...but I need the tool!

Looks like this:

NAPA wants $25 for it - the stinking clamp is only $2!

Figured I need to get it fixed before rolling to VA.

you might has well go ahead and buy one and some extra clamps. your going to need it.

when i had the 2.5" lift on my Tacoma i was fussing with the inner boot 2 or 3 times a year. i tried 3 or 4 different (so called hi angle boots) but none of them lasted longer then the stock ones, I just ended up tweaking them every 3-4 months to keep them on until i got my "solid front axle" cruiser.

I thought you had done this before...sounds like a good sol'n - I was a bit concerned about the off balance weight, but they are so small I don't think it'd be a problem.

I'll have to run by West Marine this week...if I had only grabbed them when I was on Capital on Friday - that's a whole nother world over there- ha!

Thanks for the offer - I think I'm going to go with the band clamps - they seem to fit the groove of the FJC nicely and figured I can re-tighten down the road if necessary (or replace multiple times over price of tool)

Jared,

In case you haven't gotten the band yet, I have a crimp clamp and the tool it you are interested. If not, I'll be interested in seeing the adjustable type. I've had to re-clamp the 100 a couple of times. :(
