I'm preparing my '99 LX for a 2200 mile round trip from San Diego, CA to McCall, ID and back and I just discovered a pinhole sized leak in one of my CV's. It seems to have thrown some grease - over the past few thousand miles - but when I pulled it back to inspect still had a healthy amount. I have an OEM reboot kit sitting in my garage, but my schedule is really tight up 'till when I leave.
Normally, I would reboot no questions asked before such a long trip, but again, time. My question for everyone: does anyone think I'll have a problem waiting 'till I get back to reboot?
As a reference, I'm sitting about 2.25" higher than stock with a Slee Diff Drop (recently installed). Sadly, it will be all freeway/highway and I won't be seeing any off-road driving on this trip. I will likely drive through some snow though (if we're lucky - unfortunately low snowfall in ID so far).
Thanks in advance for your $0.02.
