cut or not cut (1 Viewer)

I am in the middle of putting in a 350 sb chev 7004r trans and stock t-case. I have the bob firestine motor mounts. question is when I jack the drive train up in to what I think is the right spot it hits the body. I think it could even go up a little more. the trans pan is 1/2 inch above the bottom of the frame. So is that about right or do i cut the body to make more room for the t-case? it is a 72 fj40
