I was under the 80 last week and happened to notice there are 2 holes in each side of the frame with captive nuts just behind the cross memeber. Has anyone used these holes and the holes in the xmember to make a custom skid of some sort?

It's in the works as soon as I can get time under there and draw it up. My idea is to cover that entire area. Probably not as bullet proof as Christo's but I'm more concerned of branches and such piercing vital organs and wiring. Have thought of one for the front of the crossmember as well to cover the tranny.

Once the drawing is done I can have a mockup made out of corrigated material and if interested I'll post a pic. Just don't hold your breath waiting.

I think I'm gonna get on this in the next couple of weeks. I was thinking some small spacers on the frame to make the skid flat with the bottom of the crossmember, and tie it into the 3 bolt holes for the factory bunny deflector, then it could easily go forward from there and tie in somewhere. I suppose go up and clamp to the sway bar maybe.
