So where's the best place to get new (or oem used) springs?

You can also try Rancho Cordova Toyota Recyclers as they seem to have a decent amount of LC stuff with some 60 series items floating around. They seem to be a bit higher priced though so definitely shop around.

I went with the CS004F old man emu from cruiser outfitters in Sandy, UT. They were $357 landed with new bushings. He was awesome on the phone and discounted the shipping twice for me. Going to get them in this weekend.

Isnt that called "whileiminthereitis" ?!

"she" already approved springs and shocks. But I would hate for the front to sit higher than the back...

Project pics. Pretty easy deal over all. Didn't get it done yesterday because of the wind but finished her up this morning.

Looks mighty fine!!

I'm having a hard time with the pictures and geometry that I can see, but are you sure your shackles are facing the correct way? You might be putting a lot of stress laterally on the midpoint of the spring (where they broke) at full flex, instead of focusing the torque down the length. I could be wrong, but I'd hate to see a brand new set of broken springs:(

Also, CHECK YOUR SPINDLES after such a hard hit. I've broken three. If there is ANY play when you grab the top of the wheel while it's in the air then fix it! It's not an expensive part, but if it's broke, the only thing holding your axle together is the C clip.

The spindles feel good. No play in either wheel. As far as the shackles, I don't know.n I put them back on facing the same way they were but i didn't install them originally. If they are backwards that would be good to know.:bang:
