anyone have a current carfax, mine expired yesterday......I found a cruiser today that I want to buy...........

i paid the same for my '91 -- carfax is highly unreliable -- my civic was in two wrecks, both covered by insurance (read, documented) -- neither is on carfax --

Perhaps you should invest in renewing your carfax. seriously, if you are going to request something like that, aren't you a little embarrassed to do it in a public forum.

So Carfax is not always to be completely trusted....

Anyone have experience with Consumer Guide's similar service? Their free check always brings up more records than does Carfax's free search (I subscribe to neither), but you'd think more is probably better....

you are awesome, thx a million.....quick note and save $25 bones, can't beat that...

Emabarrassed about what ?? getting usable info on a forum from fellow members, I could care less, all I want is a good solid rig and with a little help it is easy to obtain that goal with friendly people!!

I have had consumer guide reports for the previouse months.....I think they are much better than carfax......they let you get multiple unlimited reports and they save all previous months.....awesome.....Just my opinion, I would not buy a car without a carfax report....sure you can look it over, check for VIN TAGS etc....but its piece of mind to know just how many owners, wheather its been through a auto auction................speaking of auto auctions, I have been to many...they run those rigs through assembly lines of machanics,bump shops,dent kings, buffers and then dent kings again,,,they cover up stuff you would not believe.....major RED flag for me, I will never buy a car that has been through an auto auction......
