ok, so we are definitely on the way to being able to make this happen. what we need now is to work out how it will get done.
his truck is just this side of gilmer, 3hrs? away in east texas. so, we either need to coordinate getting people, tools, and parts to him, or getting his truck here so it can be done.
to that end, we need someone to volunteer: to a. go, get his truck, and haul it back. or b.get enough tools and parts together to go and rebuild his engine there.
if we bring it back here, we need somebody to volunteer some space to do the work, either a shop, or a big driveway.

got a shop. so, if you can get the rig, i'll call the guy tomorrow, and set up something with him as to how to pick it up, and get it here, get it fixed, and get it back to him. i'll post up what i find out.

Hey guys,

I have a complete 2F motor and tranny out of my '76 FJ40. Everything is good but it needs a water pump (no it did not blow, it was starting to leak and was planning on pulling the motor and putting in an LS1 Small Block so I pulled the motor). Where's the catch? The motor and tranny are in Iowa. If ya'll have a way to get it he can have it.

BTW, the both have 56k on them and they came out of the same FJ40 that I had posted some free parts on I8MUD that I dropped off to Mike Hanson. Hope this goes to good use.
