I'll take two if you have room! Sounds awesome!

Note: Dinner will be provided by Book Cliff Cruisers on Tuesday night and Breakfast Wednesday Morning. Plan meals accordingly.

Hey Jon, just wanted to point out that the original post says dinner is provided Wednesday night and breakfast on Thursday morning. I don't know if it matters, but I think it's dinner on Tuesday and breakfast on Wednesday, correct? Or, am I backwards?

Thanks much Stan. You are correct! I'll edit the first post. Dinner is provided TUESDAY night and breakfast provided WEDNESDAY.

Note, The dinner will be provided by Book Cliff Cruisers with cooking being done by some of Colorado's (Aspen's to be specific) finest chefs. There are no obligations, but tips/donations will be welcome appreciated.

First Kokopelli

RTC/Right Turn Clyde/Sean here. Here being the Top of Utah, Logan. Just spotted this thread...

I've done Moab a few times since the mid 90s. Previously in my '89 Trooper, a longterm project vehicle at Offroad.com. My current is '97 per my sig line. Recent install of Marlin Crawler Gears, which I'm writing a product review on at ORC.

My ham is KF7OIX. I'll be breaking in a new to me rtt, which I hope will be on a newly built Dinoot DIY trailer (another review).

I'm not sure how to post pict just yet...

I'm pretty stoked for the trip, and look forward to meeting the group.

s

Pict

We'll see if this works...

Ha! It pasted after all.

I'll be coming to camp at the trailhead Monday I suspect.

 Really? Sweet..... I better bring something nice to wear.

We're just a mere 16 days away from starting this trip! Just wanted to mention to those of you coming from warmer climates, the 10 day forecast shows some pretty low, low temps. Down into the low 20's at night. April 22 shows a high of 70 and a low of 41, which is perfect. With the weather we've been having lately, be prepared for everything from snow to sunshine.

Me and a buddy were talking about it the other day. I said "I've got a 0 degree bag, I'll be fine" His reply was "That just means you wont die in zero degree weather, it doesn't mean you'll be comfortable".
Plan accordingly......

I know we have two off-road trailers, possibly three now, and I urge each to carry a strap or rope that can be attached to a high point on the side where one or two guys can hold onto in-order to stabilize the trailer in tippy spots. A heavy duty dog leash or horse lead would work nicely.

Be sure to check the first post. I made some revisions to start times and camping locations and corrected a few errors.

Well Ace and I as well as a couple of club members pre-ran the Kokopelli this weekend and conditions were great. Aside from a bit of rain, the trails were in good condition and things have started greening up! There is a little bit of snow and mud in the high country. I'm posting pics tonight in our thread which can be found here.

We still have only heard from half of the participants and I assume some are not on mud and don't want to sign up and that's not a problem either. I am still waiting from the committee on the member to fill the missing spot. I'll send out an email to all of you once we hear from them.

Just checked the forecast for Moab and looks like Monday through Thursday will be near perfect with temps of 50/80 and clear to partly cloudy. Yahoo!

One of the tighter ditches.

Got you in there....

I'm gonna be pretty close to full in the ARB. That's 17 burritos. Last chance for chow, otherwise I need to close this group buy down.

Why don't you buy one of those cheap foam coolers, pack the burritos in ice, then toss it when we meet up? Thanks again.

Trade you for some Colorado micro brew....

Yeah we can do a trade, I will bring an extra case. What type do you like?

^ Yum

So looking at the roster again a bunch of you guys have indicated trail choices other than Kokopelli on Thursday. I just wanted to remind everyone that we will be on the trail most of the day Thursday. :D

Supposed to be around 90 in Moab on Tuesday and cooling to about 80 the rest of the week with nights around 50 and clear all week. But please come prepared for anything as the weather can change very fast out there. Also the weatherman sometimes gets it wrong. ;-)

I like English/American Ales. But I know you guys up North enjoy lagers and pilsners. If I drank just a six pack of Canadian beer, someone would have to strap me to their roof rack. I have some close friends in Windsor, ON and Victoria BC, every time I visit them, I have a new respect for Canadian Beer.

Just got the shirts a sat phone and two portapoties from Dave K. The shirts look great this year! We had two cancelations and I still have not heard from about 50% of the others. If its a lean group it will just give us more time to make way at our own pace. It's going to be a great ride!
