PMs sent, Kevin...

Sorry for the delay, we have had very little/no net access the last couple of days and have been on the trail all day, everyday.

Kevin - did you and Darren (Cruisermon) meet up to swap the rack yet?

Hoping to meet after running Cliff Hanger tomorrow.

Kevin,

Just double checking with you - do you have my rack installed on your truck yet? If so let me know when you'll be back in AZ so we can schedule the pickup.

Another thing that I learned at Moab, my disappointment in the BFG AT-KO's continues. Going down some of the slickrock I did more of a controlled slide rather than being able to ease down even at 15 psi. The Toyo's and Nitto's on the 80's in my groups had much better traction. This mirrors my experience here in AZ as well.

Too bad I didn't win either of the tire raffles. :D

What size AT KO's? Mine did awesome in Moab on the 100. Stuck like glue. Here in AZ too. I even bailed from Mud's to KO's on my 450.

285/75

I am just not impressed. They are not bad tires and are pretty good, it is just that there are other tires that grip much better. I was simply not impressed with their ability to grip going down steep ramps. I saw other tires on other 80's doing the same line do so much better. Who knows, maybe it is the driver who is bad.

Or maybe they ran 315's? Big difference in patch.

Ross, TKOs are made for long tread life. Therefore, they have very hard rubber which makes for less than ideal traction. Personally, I've never been a fan. They do seem to do better on heavier trucks and they are great for people who only web wheel but there are better tires for all purpose use. Wear those suckers out and get some 315 Nittos, you won't be sorry.

I kept a running tally on the road. My best MPG was coming back through monument valley, Moab to Kayenta, 19.97 MPG!

Interesting aside, we noticed Cody's roof rack cost about 2 mpg...
