anyone taking their fj to moab for cruise moab 06? may 3rd -may 7th. im going , if any others are going it would be cool to hook up with fellow fj owners . official trails are full but you can hit trails early and be ok.

The Toyota FJ cruiser team will be at CM06 and will hit the trails with us.

I just got back from Moab about 10 minutes ago. The good news is I did the 7 mile loop, Gemini Bridges, the M&M (I forget what the M's stand for, but Wipe Out Hill was Sahwheet!), Klondike Bluffs using an unmapped pass over the Bluffs to the Dirt Road entrance to the trail to Balanced Rock (this might have been part of Flat Iron?), and part of Steel Bender. The Bad news is I didn't have my Cruiser....still waiting to get a lift and Real tires. I rented a Jeep w/33" TA's and and 4 inch lift. But it was my first time in Moab...so maybe it was a good idea to test out the trails in a rental first...I mean I only have 800 miles on my FJC and with the stock Dunlops and no lift, I know I would have broken something.

Moab was UNREAL! Beautiful weather and great microbrew at the Moab Brewery....I would suggest the Dead Horse Ale or the Scorpion Pale Ale. The 10 Hour drive from LA kinda sucked, but it was well worth it even with the fresh scrapes and bruises from biking Slick Rock.

Have fun in Moab. I wish I could be there but I have to go back to work the beginning of May...too bad I really wanted to check out the FJ Cruiser Team. Are you Guys coming to the LA area anytime soon?

I'd be interested in a trail list the team is signed up for, and any notes following thee event on caution spots for the FJ!!!

There will be a handful of FJCruisers in addition to the trail team. The trail team will be running everything from e-hill, spike, hells, fins, goldbar, etc.

With pics in the tent if you don't see one on the trail i'm sure there will be pleanty of photos and stories.

We are trying to get a group of FJ owners from my area rounded up and hope to make it out.

It would be my first time there. Hope to see you there!

I'm pretty sure the Central and Western teams are at Hollister this weekend but I don't know if that is considered close to the LA area.

So, you had to stoop to renting a Jeep ! :)

im leaving friday morning in case i cant get a room im towing my tent trailer with the fj we will stay at an rv park or campground see you there !

I may be off 1 or 2, but my understanding is that there will be 5 FJs from the Toyota FJ Cruiser Team and 7 registered FJ's. That a pretty good chunk the first year. I don't think we have ever had that many 100 series, but thats more a luxery vehicle that can offroad.

hollister hills is a good 4 to 5 hour drive from the LA area. but I did get to check out the trail teams and the rigs were impressing even the toughest of audiences.

I'm goin'....

WOO HOO! Just got my "bling" changed out today, made a hotel reservation, having some grinding done tomorrow, and am leaving Wed. I've been trying to contact somebody to see if I can still register, but no luck yet. I'm still goin' though! :D

Drop by Spanish Trail Campground on weds. 2980 South Highway 191. Weds is registration day and come see us at the registration table. I am sure someone will be able to take care of you.
