I added it to my 73 FJ40. Works really well on the ramjet 350. I have plans to add it to the 45 but in a much simpler/hidden capacity.

GREAT ! When a younger “sprout”...I remember how the angle of my foot to the pedal used to almost hyperextend my ankle....(owy!)
I am running a 2006 Silverado 6.0 liter engine, I’ve heard a good system may cost anywhere from $900 to $1000. Too much !

Pretty simple setup. You have to set some small PINS to dial it in. I got pretty close to perfect but it will drop out now and again. If I had more time I would close the loop on that. For the amount of time I use it it hasn’t made it to the top of the list.

Switch installed. I removed the column cover and drilled a small hole. Wires run up along the wiper switch wiring on the top of the column...
I can’t find any pics of the box mounted and I’m not home. The control box is pretty big and I mounted it on the inner fender low in th engine compartment.
I ordered everything from Amazon.

My 1967 FJ45 for last years Road Trip from Calif to Minnesota worked great through the flat States LOL

There ya go ! At least there’s no duct tape !!
I have what Rob has on my 45 now. It worked ok with the original motor and mechanical linkage with worn out springs. As soon as I put the 3FE in the throttle springs have way more resistance. I even pulled the spring from the pedal because the pedal resistance is uncomfortable. The hand throttle won’t stay pulled out against the throttle setup I have now.
All depends on how much you want to change on your rig.
When (if) I add the rostra to the 45 there will be a very discreet switch that I’m going to have flip up and out of sight.
Here’s what I bought. Be sure it fits your application. There are left and right stalk switches of various types.
