Anyone ever have a creaky armrest in their 2016+ truck?

Anytime someone rests their arm on the passenger side of the truck's armrest it creaks incessantly and is driving me nuts. I can't seem to pinpoint what part is causing this creak.

Before I go down the rabbit hole of just attempting to replace parts at random I wanted to check and see if anyone else had encountered and solved this problem.

Yes! 2021, fairly subtle but once you notice it, you can't unnotice it. I'm going to try lubing some areas to see if it helps, just havent gotten around to it yet.

I have a 2021 with a creaky armrest. When my wife rides with me I get grumpy when she places her arm on the rest. Don't have a solution on how to fix it yet, but it's been driving me nuts. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Glad to hear I'm not alone, was beginning to think I was just that anal.

I'm going to examine the armrest this evening and see if I can pinpoint anything else that might be causing the creak.

Seems like no one else has this resolved yet...

My 2013 does it when I rest my arm on the driver's side. More of a plastic flexing noise than a high frequency squeak.

Lots of hidden screws in the console…the lid(s), under cooler seals… Sides near bottom of outer base, snd more. Adhesive backed felt can help a lot for various contact points… 🤷🏻‍♂️

My '21 creaks, so I used two small felt cabinet door bumpers. Simply placed one at each corner. Total cost about $0.10. No more creaking. :)
Did you notice it affects the cool box's ability to seal when it's being run? It's used often on road trips and I'd have to alter anything and impact its ability to cool properly/leak.

I have a Heritage, so don't have the cool box.

The little felt bumpers are only about a 1/16" thick, so doesn't change the position of the lid when it is closed. Simply gives some cushion between the armrest and console when weight is applied. Therefore, I doubt it would impact cool box operation. My $0.02 :)

Gave this a shot with some thin felt circular stickies on all the rubber touch points on the arm rest - both the top and bottom clamshell openings - success!

Excellent recommendation @DesmoPilot!
