Yes, the 3 groove is for the additioanl AC belt on later trucks. It is retrofittable on any 2F.

Does anyone know where to buy a good crankshaft pulley, claw nut, key, lock plate, etc. for a 2F (1978 40)?

New or otherwise - I've been looking at the same chewed-up one on eBay for a year. I think SOR had a new one (after-market-big $) for a while, but now ...?

Jim/Mark - just to clarify - any 2F crank pulley (2 or 3 groove) will be OK - even with the extra groove (on the 3 groove) running empty? Again - excuse my ignorance.

Yes, any pulley that has the following charactereistics will work fine for your 78:
2 or 3 wide grooves for 17mm belt,
press on w/ retaining crank nut.

Unacceptable:
2 grooves, one wide, one narrow
Press on, with no provision for separate crank nut.
