I havent made the flares yet they are after the rear bumper. The front bumper gets a winch and skid plate in the center

here is the winch tray, I think Im going to add steel to the left and right outriggeres behind the tube for branch protection but still retain the tube look. the bumper weighs 65lbs as of now.

I originally wanted a brush guard front bumper but with the center hoop design I have I had to come up with something different what do you guys think?.

Nice form....not sure if serves a function, but it looks cool.

I think smaller loops would look good, those loops don't follow the grill lines and look out of place. IMO
I like the bumper are you going to be selling these or is this a one time fab?
I wish I had the equipment to do that stuff :frown:

Here it is painted .If it turns out I dont like it I can always take the bars off.

Not trying to get all personal and such, but how much do you have in that fine piece of engineering?

About $100.00 in material
labor..this was the first one so it took longer
now that I have all the specs I could put this together in a day.

Thank you I've been debating taking on the endeavor myself. But have been putting it off because I didn't know if it would really be cost effective,

hey cowboy nice work i'm trying to find someone to do something like that for my lx470 (im from the 100 series section). I seen your plate so you are in california right? do yo know anybody on the east coast? Oh by the way cut the top part:D

hey i did a little more research on your rig did you do the top lights?????? Any ideas on how to do a fold down type (to be able to fit into garages) this was done by a guy from the 80 section but he does not do work for individual people anymore; take a look

Thats a nice set up if you look closely he has rubber bump stops so when it folds back it doesnt hit metal on metal. Yes I made my light bar set up. My set up could be folded foward to go in a garage, but it would get old very quick undoing the bolts every day. A quick release setup would be a better idea.I'm not even sure if my fj would fit even with the bar down I will have to measure.
