Due to the down economy a lot of containerized stock rooted into the ground and became fodder for the saw and burn pile. I tried while it was dormant to find it a home (no one had a semi or means to deal with it on the other end). It is going through some stress, but we will have a little more shade at work now.

Yea, that's too nice. Trees like that need to grow a few more rings before the saw see's it...

Tip from a grower; if anyone in the Southwest is planning on upgrading or going to have a new landscape installed this year, secure your trees as soon as you can. There is a shortage on the large material going on.

I have a neighbor who wants to get rid of a dozen mature Olive trees.

Come up and get them splitshot and they are yours.

Because of the pollen or the fruit mess?

Otherwise, (not my #1 choice), mature olives are tough as nails and can have cool character. They are banned in Pima and Maricopa counties due to pollen (we grow the fruitless varieties).
