Ripped through three 8" factory diffs under warranty in the first few years, then a few JT 4.56 sets after that. The 8" carrier flexes enough to eat teeth. Moved to a factory e-locked 8.2" out of a 2012 a couple years ago and no issues.Wonder why that let go? With an auto and your setup it seems like it would not kill a rear gear
