Those are haflingers. Made by the same outfit that makes my Pinzgauer. Made in Austria.

They had 19 Haflingers there. Probably one of the largest gatherings of them.

8000 miles in 40 days on my car. Ready to slow down a bit.
 
A bit of gas mileage chit-chat on this car.

City tanks - 25 ish
Hwy tanks - 30-31 (78 mph)
Natchez Trace - 36 (58 mph)

I started off with 91 octane then quickly switched to 89 mid grade. Saw no difference. Last 2500 has been all 87 octane. No change except in my wallet.

Car is E85 tuned so I'm not hurting anything internally. Manual says performance and mileage will suffer. It hasn't. Not a bit. I have not tried E85 but will if I ever see it.

Moral? 5-8 more mpg with the Diesel in a smaller car was not worth the effort.
