Was checking out the fire situation on Sunday night on News 11:30 at Dry Lake as we were getting quite a bit of ash and smoke - even chard needles landing on the ground - when I heard about a nasty accident where a VW Convertable rear ended a Land Cruiser in Coquitlam. Hope no one from the club was caught in that one.

Just checked News 1130. It wasn't Coquitlam but in Mission. Reception isn't so great at Dry Lake. :meh:

MISSION (NEWS1130) - A portion of the Lougheed Highway was closed for several hours Sunday evening due to a fatal crash in Mission.

RCMP say a 70's Volkswagen convertible rear ended a Toyota Land Cruiser near Manson Street. The driver of the Volkswagen was thrown from the car and died at the scene. No name has been released.

Went by it coming back from Chehalis, was a FJ Cruiser and the VW driver did not have his belt on.
Threw him out of the car and into the ditch, they called for a medivac but it was canceled enroute.

In this day and age? I guess in certain cases Darwin was right...

I do believe that Darwin is right in most, if not all, cases.

Nah...too many dumb people still walking amongst us. How many times have you read in the news that a drunk driver hit an innocent driver and the drunk driver survived while the innocent person died?

BTW...Darwin reference was tongue in cheek...don't really want to get into any sort of silly Creationist vs. Evolutionist debate. ;)

Reminds me of this... :meh:
