I believe that 315's in mickey t's cost about $260, that's the ATZ. The baja claws and MTZ's are a bit more expensive. Does anybody here have any comments on the road noise of the baja claw?
I think I spent ~$265 on my 285 75 16 Cooper STs last November, when I replaced the Toyo ATs. They are very aggressive off road, but a bit rough on. At slow speeds they rumble, at higher speeds they hum considerably, comparative to the Toyos. Nothing stopping them off road though! I have had them in mud and snow and was very impressed with their capability, but if you are on the asphalt mostly, they may annoy you with their noise.
not at all. a little whine around town here and there at certain speeds w/ the windows down, but *nearly* as quiet as the LTX's on the highway at speed. exceptional as far as I'm concerned.
Yes. Wife crunched back bumper a long time ago. Took it to body shop and the idiot painted the damaged rear bumper the color of body instead of the darker brown color. When I picked it up I pointed it out so he just matched the original front bumper to the newly painted rear bumper. I wonder how some people stay in business.

it probably happened because when you pull the toyota paint code, it will give you the body color. trim color is secondary. once he bought the paint, he should have known unless it was already primed and they just didn't notice that it was different.
at that point, it would be cheaper and easier for him to just paint the front since he already had the paint instead of getting a new color and respraying the rear.

265/75r16~$1150 for FIVE tyres mounted/balanced out the door in May 2006
315/75r16~$850 for FIVE tyres (blems which took a lot of weight to balance) $50 for mount/balance at costco. March 2009
I've been a fan of the coopers, but I'd probably go with the MT-MTZ's or BFG KM2's if they weren't ridiculously expensive.
I know cooper had a bad rap for sidewall issues in the past, in fact my 285's had cracking along the bead. They gave me $600 refund for the 4 affected tires IIRC.
I still have a 285 with >75% tread if anyone needs a spare.
