I'm installing gauges today. I'm kinda baffled as to where i'm going to install the coolant temp sensor. I'd rather not try and pull a freeze plug. Both 1/4" holes are being used by coolant lines. I guess I could use the stock location... Jeez I just installed the head and I can't remember installing the temp sender. Opinions welcome.

Thanks!

I put mine in the port on the extreme left side of the thermostat housing. It is NPThread. The other two were used by the original configuration. No leaks so far. Thank god for TSP.

BY extreme left i mean the towards the front when looking at the holes. FYI

I just got back from the hardware store with brass fittings. I guess I'm making my own T fitting. Hopefully the tubing will reach from that location to my middle dash.

Oh.. I see what your saying. There is an NPT fitting on the thermostat housing. I still think I'm going to create a T off the coolant line NPT on the exhaust manifold side.

Thanks!

I hooked my up on passenger side (LHD) in back of alternator bracket, I had a threaded hole that had a plug in it.

I also found trying to run the cable through at driver side where others are coming through the firewall was not a good idea, rarely enough line for gauges. Instead I cut a new hole in firewall that was in back of where glove box goes and comes out just next to rear battery tray, it was out of the way, easyt to access once you take the glove box out and left me with plenty of room for sensor cables.

Cheers,

Michael
